Milligan Accounts for Lone Score in 1-0 Win at Earlham
In a match with few scoring opportunities, senior forward Adam Milligan capitalized on one to give The College of Wooster mens soccer team a 1-0 decision over host Earlham College Saturday afternoon in Richmond, Ind. With the win, the Scots improve to 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. After a scoreless first half, Milligan booted home his sixth goal of the season and 36th of his career during the 59th minute of play. He was assisted by Gerry Ockers. Wooster keeper David Treleven only had to make one save during the match to preserve the shutout. The Scots will continue their chase for the NCAC championship this Tuesday (Oct. 5), when it hosts Denison University at 4:30 p.m. Denison and Wooster were co-champions of the league last year. |
