The College of Wooster men’s soccer team pulled off its seventh one-goal win in as many matches this season on Saturday, as the Fighting Scots edged Earlham College 1-0 in Richmond, Ind. It marked the North Coast Athletic Conference opener for both schools.

Wooster, which is now off to a 7-0 start for the first time in 20 years (1986), connected on the match’s lone score during the 58th minute. Sophomore transfer Steve Fracasso notched his squad-leading fourth goal via an assist from senior Tim Presto.

Presto also played a key role on a defense that rolled to its third consecutive shutout, extending the opposition’s scoreless streak to 328:12. Junior Erik Larson, who has played every minute at goalkeeper this season, made eight saves.

The Scots next take their perfect record to Case Western Reserve University (6-0-1) this Tuesday night for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
