Skully Lauded With Second Consecutive All-NCAC Honor
Sophomore outfielder Kim Skully (Brooklyn Hts., Ohio / Cuyahoga Heights) of The College of Wooster has been tabbed a 2007 honorable mention all-North Coast Athletic Conference selection for her efforts this season in softball, as voted on by the conference coaches and announced by the league office Thursday. Skully makes a repeat performance on the All-NCAC Team, as she landed second-team honors at the conclusion of the 2006 season. This year, she started 31 games for the Fighting Scots and stepped up her play during league competition, compiling a .323 batting average (10-for-31) with four runs, two doubles, a triple, and an RBI, as well as a .484 slugging percentage over 12 games. Overall on the season, Skully led Wooster, which went 10-28 and finished seventh in the NCAC (3-11), in doubles (6), tied for the team lead in triples (2), and ranked third in batting average at a .244 clip (20-for-82). Her 20 hits was also third-best on the Scots’ squad this year, and she scored 11 runs and drove in eight others. |
