As a result of a season technicality for Grove City, the Wooster men did not compete this weekend.
Overall, the Scots won 12 out of 13 events, sweeping the top-three places in multiple races.
After opening the meet with a victory in the 400 medley relay (4:09.45), Wooster quickly took control by placing first and second in the 1000 freestyle. Junior Jody Bray finished with a time of 11:04.13, while freshman Elizabeth Roesch touched the wall in 11:04.46. Then, the Scots took the top-three spots in the 200 freestyle freshman Sophie Brym won (1:59.05), followed by senior Lori Mitskavich (2:01.38), and sophomore Sonya Tarasenkov (2:02.20).
Wooster continued to build its lead with a second consecutive sweep, this time in the 50 freestyle. Sophomore Kayla Heising won (25.07), classmate Tanya Tarasenkov came in second (25.76), and first-year Kate Henley touched in third (26.57). The next event saw another Scot victory with Liz Whittam, the teams top freshman, taking the 200 individual medley (2:11.19).
Woosters string of wins finally ended in the 200 butterfly, however, it responded with first-places from Sonya Tarasenkov in the 100 freestyle (55.33), and Roesch in the 200 backstroke (2:20.62).
In diving action, senior Sara Connolly won both the one- and three-meter events with scores of 237.25 and 203.30, respectively.
Other notables included another first-place from Whittam in the 500 freestyle (5:17.66) and a strong swim from junior Jenny Bayuk in the 200 breaststroke (2:27.49).
"This was an exciting victory," commented head coach Keith Beckett afterwards. "It sets the stage for the final phase of our season. Today, I saw many positive indicators of an excellent finish to the year."
Next for both Scot squads will be a dual meet at fellow North Coast Athletic Conference power Kenyon College.
