The College of Wooster swimming and diving teams remained perfect, sweeping John Carroll University on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Timken Natatorium. Both men's and women's teams improved to 3-0 in dual meet competition, defeating the Blue Streak teams 150-93 and 146-91, respectively.

The Scots swept both relays on the men's side, as seniors Austin Carter and Clint Nicely teamed with freshmen Mateo Chinchilla and Matt Dominski to win the 200 medley relay (1:42.89) and Brandon Dugar, Dan Noble, Zach Carter, and Kyle Oaks touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle relay (1:30.23). Dugar won both of his individual events, winning the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.74, and then beating out the field in the 100 butterfly (54.90).

Also coming up with big wins for the Scots were Oaks in the 200 freestyle (1:54.08), senior Austin Carter in the 100 backstroke (57:07), and Joe Witkowski in the 500 freestyle (5:15.01). Freshman Alex Guavin won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events with scores of 220.70 and 206.15, respectively.

On the women's side, senior Elizabeth Roesch kept up her impressive season by winning the 1,000 and 100 freestyle events. Roesch beat out her John Carroll opponent in the 1,000 by two seconds with a time of 10:34.35, and then edged teammate Adrienne Smith in the 100 by 0.26 seconds, touching the wall at 56.15. The Scots swept both relays as Patti Ross, Sarah Steele, Liz Whittam, and Smith took the 200 medley relay (1:54.43), while Kim Chambers, Denise Koessler, Liz Whittam, and Smith teamed up to win the 200 freestyle (1:42.94).

Whittam, Koessler, Chambers, Ross, and Steele each won their individual events as well, touching the wall first in the 200 freestyle (1:59.36), 50 freestyle (26.38), 100 butterfly (1:02.68), 100 backstroke (1:03.83), and 100 breaststroke (1:13.97), respectively. Senior Nicole Greene was the only other Scot to claim first, winning the 200 IM with a time of 2:22.75.

The Scots will be in action this Saturday, Nov. 20, as Westminster College enters Timken Natatorium for a non-league affair at 1:00 p.m.
