The College of Wooster swimming and diving teams kept their seasons rolling with a pair of dominating victories over Millikin University on Sunday afternoon. Wooster won seven of 11 swimming races on the men’s side, including sweeping both relay competitions. The Scots’ talented freshman class made a major impact on the day led by John Cushing who won both the 50 (23.40) and the 100 freestyles (52.86), edging teammates Matt Dominski (23.56) and Andrew Rudawsky (53.26), respectively. The Scot women were equally as impressive, winning 10 of 11 swimming competitions and dominating both relays. Freshman Molly Bittner, sophomore Amanda Bailey, and senior Kim Chambers were all double winners on the day. Bittner controlled the sprint portion of the meet, winning both the 50 (26.56) and 100 freestyles (57.46), while Bailey and Chambers took care of the long distance, touching the wall first in the 500 (5:36.44) and 1000 freestyles (10:49.38), respectively. Bailey also claimed first in the 200 IM in a time of 2:23.26, while Chambers tacked on her second win of the day in the 100 butterfly with a finish of 1:01.01.
