The College of Wooster volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday (Sept. 16) in Defiance, Ohio, losing a five-game heartbreaker to Tiffin and then sweeping the host Lady Jackets.

Against Tiffin, Wooster got off to a slow start losing game one 15-5, but the Scots rebounded and took game two in decisive fashion 15-1. The Lady Dragons answered taking game three 15-9, but once again Wooster responded and won game four 15-9. Playing their first fifth game of the year, the Scots competed hard but fell once again by the score of 15-9.

After the tough loss to the Lady Dragons, Wooster responded well, cruising to a 15-2, 15-12, 15-12 win over Defiance and snapping its four-match losing streak.

Donnell once again had a team-best in kills with 13, while sophomore Beth Moore led the way in assists (17). Donnell and sophomore Megan Burgdorf each registered 13 digs, while Camelio tallied 11 assists and eight kills.
