The College of Wooster volleyball team kept its season rolling with a 3-1 victory over non-conference foe John Carroll University at University Heights, Ohio on Wednesday night. With the win, the Fighting Scots improve to 5-0 on the season, while the Blue Streaks remain winless at 0-5. Wooster dropped the first game to start the match, losing 35-33, but swept the remaining three games by scores of 30-20, 30-27, and 30-22 to tack on another victory this fall. Leading the way offensively was Tiffany Rice, hitting the net for a game-high 20 kills and a team-best .273 attack percentage. Right behind her were sophomore standout Carolyn Ciriegio and junior Erin Schaffner with 19 and 12 kills, respectively. Defensively, junior libero Mary-Kate Fowkes totaled 27 digs to edge out fellow defensive specialist, freshman Ali Drushal, by one (26) for game honors. Ciriegio added 10 digs as well, while junior Sarah Marschall tallied eight digs to go along with three total blocks. Sophomore setter Heather Wolff guided the offense with 48 assists on the night and contributed 11 digs.
