College - a school located just outside of Los Angeles, Calif. - by the

Springfield, Ohio.
Early on it was tied at one, but Wooster then scored seven of the
game's next eight goals to take a decisive 8-2 lead and Whittier was never
able to pull closer than five after that point.

and freshman Rachel Stevens with two scores each, and senior Jessica
Critchlow with an assist.

"Our overall team effort was great," commented second-year head
coach Liz Grote. "Our defense definitely stepped it up. Jessica Bacon had
five groundballs, three caused turnovers, a draw control, and an overall
strong game that helped the defense along. Katelyn Connolly had another
strong game Ÿ We had nine of our 15 goals assisted, which is very nice to
see that we're putting it all together finally."
Wooster, which is now 5-3 overall and also was scheduled to play
Northwestern University's club team on Sunday afternoon in Springfield but
that game won't count towards its record, will put that win streak on the
line next at conference foe Oberlin College on Wednesday, April 11, at 4:30
