Women's Soccer Runs Unbeaten Streak to Nine Games

The College of Wooster women's soccer team still has not lost in nine games, only this time the Scots were unable to post a victory, settling for a 1-1 tie with visiting Earlham Saturday.

Wooster, which had won eight straight games, dominated the Quakers on the field, outshooting them 13-3. But Earlham's goalkeeper Shelly Holt was up to the task, recording 12 saves to preserve the tie.

After a scoreless first half, Wooster got on the board first early in the second half, as freshman Beth Hemminger took a pass from sophomore Stephanie Hulke and shot it into the upper right corner of the goal at the 31:52 mark.

The lead did not last long, however, as the Quakers' Lacey Burns scored with 26:49 to play off of a corner kick to tie the game.
