While a 2-0 victory may not sound overwhelming, The College of Wooster women's soccer team was dominating in its season-opening win over host Geneva.
The Scots outshot the Tornadoes 18-2 and sophomore goaltender Nicole Roman was forced to stop only one shot for Wooster.
Despite the Scots' dominance, Wooster was kept off the scoreboard in the first half. That changed early in the second half, when sophomore Beth Hemminger took a cross from junior Stephanie Hulke and scored to put the Scots up 1-0. The same duo were Wooster's top two scorers last season.
The Scots put the game out of reach shortly after, as senior Emily Cole scored on a break-away, with an assist from sophomore Janette Frederick.
Wooster looks to run its record to 2-0 when it travels to Tiffin, Ohio, to face Heidelberg on Sunday. The 'Berg is coming off of a 6-0 win over Bethany in their season-opener.
