For the second-straight match, The College of Wooster women's soccer team outshot its opponent, but in spite of that, the Scots dropped their second in a row, as host Mt. Vernon Nazarene University stayed undefeated with a 2-0 decision on Wednesday (Sept. 17).

Wooster (5-2) peppered the Lady Cougars' goal with 16 shots and held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks, but were shutout for the second time in as many games.

Mt. Vernon Nazrene's Kristen Votapek accounted for the scores, while she was assisted by Catherine Hess on both. Votapek's goals came in the middle of each half.

The Scots' Becca Scina produced four saves on the Lady Cougars' 12 attempts, while Krysti Wilson posted her seventh shutout in a row with eight saves.

Wooster will try and end its two-match losing skid on Saturday (Sept. 20), when it hosts Case Western Reserve University (3-0-1) in another non-league match-up.
