Lori Shulman is in her fifth season as head women’s tennis coach and assistant women’s basketball coach at The College of Wooster. On the tennis court, she has directed the Scots to 12 dual victories and to as high of a finish as sixth-place in the highly-competitive North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, that coming during 2005.

A former NCAC student-athlete herself, Shulman played three sports – basketball, softball, and tennis – at Denison University. Her highlights with the Big Red include being the team captain and most improved player on the 1997-98 basketball squad and the softball team’s Most Valuable Player in 1997.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Denison in 1999, she went on to Ohio University and completed work towards a master’s degree in coaching education while working as a graduate assistant in the department of recreation and sports sciences.

Shulman’s initial professional job was as an assistant coach at Hamilton College in upstate New York from 2002-04. There, she worked with the basketball, softball, tennis, and squash programs, and performed a variety of duties, including the evaluation of player performance, recruiting of prospective student-athletes, and scouting report preparation.

A native of Moreland Hils, Ohio, Shulman graduated from The Hawken School in 1995.
