The Scots, who were under the direction of rookie head coach Lauren Cline, moved up one spot from their regular-season finish, as Wooster was the seventh-seed going into the tourney after going 2-6 in NCAC play this year. In their first match, the Scots fell to number-two seed Denison by the score of 8-1 with junior Lindsay Techel and sophomore Kristin Walley earning the lone point for Wooster with an 8-6 win at second doubles. The Scots rebounded in their next match and upset sixth-seeded Wittenberg 5-4 in one of the tournament's most-competitive contests. Wooster was the beneficiary of a pair of defaults by the Tigers, giving the Scots a 2-0 edge to start. Walley and Techel were 8-4 winners at number-two doubles and then went on to win their respective singles matches. Walley posted a 6-2, 7-5 victory at number-three, while Techel defeated her opponent 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 at number-five. In a battle for fifth-place, Ohio Wesleyan topped the Scots by a margin of 8-1. Techel completed a near-perfect weekend, as she was victorious at fifth singles by scores of 0-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4). Wooster completes its season with a 5-14 overall record. Kenyon easily won its sixth straight NCAC Tournament title and 14th in 16 years, defeating all three of its opponents 9-0.
