The Scots, who improved their overall record to 4-11 on the season, swept all three doubles matches and took four of the six singles positions over the Cardinals. Juniors Ashley Fisher and Sara Stonewater topped Otterbein's Jen Gifford and Jennifer Jackson 8-5 at first doubles. The most-competitive match of the day was played at the number-two doubles position where junior Lindsay Techel and sophomore Kristin Walley edged Jen Peasky and Kim Stewart 9-8 (7-4). Third doubles saw Scot freshmen Sara Olson and Neela Satyamurthy team-up to beat Sara Schaefer and Stephanie Wertz by a score of 8-5. Singles play started with Gifford posting a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Stonewater at the number-one position. Wooster rebounded with easy wins at spots two through four led by Fisher's 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Julie Kusch. At number-three singles, Olson defeated Wertz 6-0, 6-3, while Walley shutout Peaksky 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles. The Cardinals earned their other point at number-five singles where Kim Stewart topped Techel 7-5, 6-4. Rounding out the singles results was freshman Amanda Bain's 6-4, 6-4 victory over Becky Yokom at number-six.
