Proof at last!

A while ago, a wayward member of our little autocracy felt that volleyball attendance each week varied in a manner that was directly proportional to the number of words in my weekly missive. We disagreed as to whether that relationship was a negative or positive one. Being both scientists we felt it is was important to generate data. So over the last three weeks I have carefully crafted my missives to represent a range of word counts to best determine whether my weekly ruminations were positively or negatively affecting volleyball attendance. The implications for planning future Volleyball sessions are obvious.

I am happy to report that the data is in and VOILA! there is a stunning and direct POSITIVE relationship between word count and volleyball attendance (see Figure 1 below). I rest my case but will not rest until the doubting one is appropriately apologetic. His moment of realization of this POSITIVE relationship is symbolically shown by the cartoon on the left.
