Three Steps to Better Reading
Comprehension
- Carefully read the assigned pages, answering the questions
in the margins (similar or identical questions may be on quizzes
or tests!).
- Review the corresponding "Essential Concepts" and "Key Terms" at
the chapter's end. If you don't understand a concept or term,
reread that section of the chapter or check the glossary at the
back of the book . If you still have questions, ask for help
(see below).
- Answer the corresponding questions at the chapter's end.
- Consult "Answers to Questions" at the back of the book to check
your answers. If you don't understand something, first reread
that section of the chapter. If you still have questions, ask
for help (see below).
