Notes

Alexandra Salerno’s teaching and research interests include the novel and the short story (historical fiction, fabulist and speculative fiction), and creative nonfiction (personal essay, and literary journalism and criticism). Her current project, The Butcher’s Daughter, is a historical novel about Italian immigrants in Depression-era New York, and was a finalist for the 2011 James Jones First Novel Award.
