Chris Taylor is a sculptor interested in setting up a unique relationship between the figure and the object. Whether on a large or small scale, the objects he creates invite the viewer to place themselves in the work. Color, kinetics, simple machines and architecture are common points of interest in his practice. Chris works primarily with wood, paper, and fabric but many other materials continuously find their way into his studio practice. Chris has a permanent public artwork, Remolcador en Camino (2010), in Montevideo, Uruguay and a temporary work, Conewango, currently installed at Socrates Sculpture Park (2013) in New York, NY.
