Biography, Performance, and Research

Karen Roll Gardener teaches saxophone, coaches quartets, and assists with woodwind methods. She taught at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, 1998-2000. She has given numerous performances, including many at World Saxophone Congresses. She has performed with the Wooster Symphony, Washington Idaho Symphony, Spokane Symphony, and other orchestras. She has recorded for the Arizona University Recordings series A Tribute to Adolphe Sax. She published an article about Lucie Robert-Diessel in the 2002 Saxophone Symposium. Dr. Gardener was appointed at The College of Wooster in 2001.
