Native of France, Laurène comes from Lyon. She arrived at the College of Wooster in August 2017 and is staying here for one academic year as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant for French. She completed her Bachelor´s degree in Communication and Journalism Studies in France as well as Germany and did her Master’s degree in “Management of International cultural and artistic projects”. During her studies, she based her research on the French culture (cinema, theater and dance) diffusion abroad, and more specifically in Germany, looking at the political and civil ways since 1989. She taught French in the “Institut français” in Bremen (Germany) for six months in 2013. In 2014 she worked in the management of “Institut francais” in Sachsen-Anhalt (Germany) and organized French cultural and linguistic activities. After those experiences, she was employed for three years as a project manager in a French-German cultural N.G.O based in Lyon, where she was organizing intercultural workshops for the young people and artists in Europe.
