| Wooster could not fulfill
its mission, year in and year out, without the assistance of
The Wooster Fund, unrestricted annual gifts from alumni, parents
and friends. Unrestricted gifts give the College the flexibility
to use funds where they are needed most, and to be innovative
in planning new programs and new initiatives.
By increasing the size of The Wooster Fund each year during
the Campaign, the College will be better able to provide
vital scholarships and financial aid to students, upgrade
technology, and purchase library materials crucial to Independent
Study projects. The Fund provides support for Wooster’s
Scottish heritage in the form of bagpipes and band uniforms.
It enhances athletic programs by maintaining fields and purchasing
uniforms and equipment. It even helps keep the campus looking
beautiful and well cared for.
Gifts to The Wooster Fund are an important part of the Independent
Minds campaign’s $122 million goal.
About 34% of those solicited annually give to The Wooster
Fund. With greater participation rates, Wooster can better
demonstrate to potential corporate and foundation donors
that those who know the College best, believe in what it
represents.
