Vision Statement for Wooster’s Campus Center

A place where students, faculty, and staff feel warmly welcomed and at home; which draws together all community members in a way that integrates the distinctive quality and dynamic vibrancy of intellectual, physical, and social life on Wooster’s campus.

The facility we envision will be the heart and hub of our campus community. It will be a space where the full range of campus social life, athletics, and recreation merge and intermingle. An integrated campus center will provide bright, welcoming places for study, for sharing meals, for working in groups large and small, for enjoying good cheer, and for enjoying recreation and athletics as participants or fans. As a nexus for campus life, the center will add significantly to our overall mission while also fueling our admissions and retention efforts. The proximity of Lowry Center and Armington Physical Education Center offers a unique opportunity to create a center that will resonate powerfully with contemporary student life at the same time that it addresses the needs of our high quality programs in intercollegiate athletics.
