Sunday@SEVEN

 

Sunday@SEVEN is a campus-based, student-led worship service in Mackey Hall every Sunday at 7 PM. Sunday@SEVEN was created to foster ecumenical cooperation between Christian groups on campus and leadership development. Sunday@SEVEN strives to meet the spiritual needs of students, within the rhythm and realities of campus life. For more information, contact Molly Dowell Baum, ext 2364.

Worthy Questions
Asking Questions Worthy of the Person You Can Become

This is a program designed for those who wish to investigate their life's passions, Worthy Questions assists students in integrating personal, professional, and spiritual values by providing toos, models, mentors, and a community for reflection. Worthy Questions accepts applications before Spring Semester from first-years, sophomores, and juniors. If this sounds like a program that you would be interested in- Please apply! Zen Meditaion - Weekly Meditation
 
This group is led by Steve Berg. Through the practice of weekly meditation participants begin to discover the underlying stillness and vibrant clarity of the mind, sharpening insight and deepening wisdom that is the result of regular practice. In addition to meditation, they will explore the fundamental teachings of Buddhism and its insight into our life today. This group is open to anyone interested, no experience is necessary, and basic instructions will be given. Meditations take place weekly in in Lowry chapel (upper level of McGaw) from 5:00 - 6:00pm on Wednesdays. Please contact OICM to register, ministries@wooster.edu, x2602.
Pastoral Care
The Office of Interfaith Campus Ministries provides is committed to the development of individual or small group relationships that provide spiritual companionship and an opportunity to explore life-issues through a religious and spiritual framework. The OICM staff persons are available to meet with students for scheduled pastoral care visits during regular office hours (9 AM-4PM). Appointments should be scheduled through the Office Administrator (x2602 – E-mail: ministries@wooster.edu).
Busy Student Retreat and Spiritual Direction
Take time out from your 'busyness' to reflect on God's place in your life. Be healed, renewed and emposered. This is an on-campus retreat, every Fall, that works into the students daily classes and activities. Also monthly spiritual direction sessions with Sr. Mary Ann Spangler. International Service and Reflection Trips
OICM sponsors an international service and reflection trip every other year. Students meet for a semeter to plan and educate themselves in preperation for the trip. In the past, locations have included Mexico, Costa Rica, Rome, and the Dominican Republic. The trip is co-sponsored by the Wooster Volunteer Network. Sacred Spaces
Sacred spaces are located in the Luce Library, Compton, and Andrews Hall Rm. 110. These are open to all students when the hall is open and to residents of that building 24/7. Sacred Spaces are made available through a grant from Mr. Fleming and Mr. Longbrake, trustees of the College. They have been created by students for students, please respect the space and remove your shoes before entering. The Sacred Space Brochure
 
Theologian-In-Residence
 
This program brings to campus a theologian who engages students, faculty, and staff in conversation about the interface between current culture and faith commitment. The Lilly Project for the Exploration of Vocation
 

The College of Wooster Lilly project provides opportunities for the entire College community to engage in serious vocational discussion and reflection. We intend to create a campus climate of engagement that focuses on questions of meaning and value: What is worth doing, and how can our lives contribute to what which has ultimate significance?
