If you are having trouble making a decision about what you want to do after graduation or choosing a major, the Career Services office offers many options to help ease the burden.

Schedule an Appointment

We highly recommend meeting with a career advisor who can help you clarify your goals and give you more tools to help you make your own decision. Please feel free to contact us at ext. 2496 to schedule a meeting.

Consider Reading the Books

"What Color is Your Parachute" or "I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was." Both books are available in our library or in the bookstore for purchase and offer exercises and insight to help you create a personalized career path. Share what you've learned about yourself with one of the career advisors or your academic advisor.

Fill out a Personal Career Profile

Complete a series of self-assessment excersises to help you explore and identify your interests, values and skills as they relate to career choices. Schedule an appointment with one of the career advisors to share your findings.

Take the MBTI or CISS

Take an hour out of your time to try the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) which can help clarify the way you make decisions. Simply ask for the MBTI form in the Career Services office and complete it in your own time. Then schedule an appointment to go over your results. Or try the Campbell Interest & Skill Survey (CISS) and learn how you can apply the skills and interests you already have to a career choice. This survey also takes about an hour to complete. Results are available about 10 working days later.
