Melissa M. Schultz

Melissa M. Schultz is another new face that will be seen in the department in the fall of 2006. She accepted the tenure-track assistant professor position in analytical chemistry.

Dr. Schultz received a B.S. degree in chemistry from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She went on to Oregon State University, working with Drs. Douglas Barofsky and Jennifer Field, to receive a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry. The title of her dissertation was "Determination of Fluorinated Alkyl Substances in Aqueous Systems."

Before coming to Wooster, Dr. Schultz was a NRC Postdoctoral Fellow in the Methods Research & Development Program at the National Water Quality Laboratory of the U.S. Geological Survey in Denver, Colorado working with Dr. Ed Furlong.
