DCU Molecular Viewing Gallery - Large set of organic molecules
designed for browsing in an intuitive, two-window array. Requires Chime.
Nucleic Acid Database
- This is the place to find nucleic acids. Excellent information, but lack of
3-D structures can be frustrating. Does NOT require Chime!
Klotho:
Alphabetical Compound List - Very large list of organic and bio-organic
molecules for viewing. Requires Chime.
Organic Chem
Molecule Database -This site at Okanagan University College is the best
place to find 3-D structures of organic and bio-organic molecules. Extremely
well organized and presented, this should be your first stop when trying to
visualize a structure. Requires Chime.
General Chemistry
BioChemNet - Lots of useful
links for coursework, including homework help, definitions, practice tests, as well as current news in the field. Neat site!
ChemWeb Online- A great resource for study help, as well as reviewing
the basics. Well organized, with a lot of useful information.
General Chemistry Glossary- Pretty
much what the name says.
CHEMystery-"An interactive chemistry textbook" with lots of useful information

and Animations- Archives of lectures in General, Organic, and Biochemistry,
as well as neat chemical animations.
Intro to Chemistry -Part of ChemWeb. Great site to review
the basics.
Web Elements -Online
periodic table with lots of properties data, reaction info, even cartoons!
Organic Chemistry
BioChemNet - Lots of useful links for coursework, including homework
help, definitions, practice tests, as well as current news in the field. Neat site!
U. Akron Chemistry Lectures
and Animations- Archives of lectures in General, Organic, and Biochemistry,
as well as neat chemical animations.
Web-sters Organic Chemistry
- Well organized directory of helpful organic chemistry sites. Definitely worth
visiting. VERY USEFUL.
Analytical Chemistry

MacGAMESS -
"MacGAMESS is a fully functional implementation of GAMESS (ab initio quantum
chemistry software) running native on the PowerMacintosh."
Atom in a Box
- "Real-time visualization of the quantum mechanical atomic orbitals."
Very neat, but you'll need a fast computer (and a modest understanding of the
time-independent Schrodinger wave equation ;-).
Biochemistry
Brookhaven Protein Data Bank - The defintive source for protein structures. Chime
and Rasmol are almost mandatory. VERY USEFUL.
Nucleic Acid Database - This is the place to find nucleic acids.
Excellent information, but lack of true 3-D structures can be frustrating.
The Online Macromolecular Museum - Well organized presentations of interesting
macromolecules. Requires Chime.
