"Creatine Kinase: Structure/Function Relationships of Conserved Residues by Site-Directed Mutagenesis;" National Science Foundation Research at Undergraduate Institutions (NSF-RUI); $192,000 (2001-03), by C. L. Borders and P. L. Edmiston.

Acquisition of three high performance liquid chromatography units, Agilent Technologies University Relations Philanthropy Equipment Grant; $153,000 (2002), by T. R. Williams and P. L. Edmiston.


The Dow Chemical Company Foundation continued its support for four-year scholarships to chemistry students, as well as support for summer research, by providing a grant of $18,500.

Marilyn Whitney ('84) helped fund a stipend for student research in the Summer of 2001.

Daniel R. Remigio ('41) continued to support acquisition of new instruments for the Department of Chemistry. He visted the campus to see the fluorescence spectrometer that he had helped us acquire and met several students who had used the spectrometer for Senior I.S research and summer research.
