FLINN SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATION CHEMISTRY HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS WORKSHOP
The College of Wooster, the Department of Chemistry, Ingredient Innovations International (3i), the Wooster Section of the American Chemical Society, and Campbell Oil co-sponsored the Flinn Scientific Foundation Chemistry High School Teachers Workshop held on Wooster's campus July 15-19, 2002. Judy Amburgey-Peters served as host, convenor, and organizer. Thirty-six high school teachers participated in the workshop held in Severance Hall.
CHEMISTRY SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS
The Dow Chemical Company Foundation again provided funds to award a renewable four-year scholarship to a first-year student interested in chemistry. The recipient of the 2002-03 Dow Chemical Company Scholarship was Logan D. Andrews, from Dover, OH.The recipient of the Herrick L. Johnston Scholarship in Chemistry for 2002-03 was Colleen M. Burkett, from Lockport, NY.
