Chief Information Technology Officer Search

The Chief Information Technology Officer will plan and direct a comprehensive
strengthening of the environment for technology use in instruction and
administration, providing leadership and working with senior management
to optimize the use of technology resources in pursuit of the Colleges
mission as a selective national liberal arts college. This new position
offers the opportunity to (i) coordinate and direct a newly reorganized
staff; (ii) oversee the Colleges ongoing developments in instructional
technology; and (iii) direct the installation and implementation of new
administrative systems. The Officer will report to the President of the
College.
Applicants are expected to be experienced professionals with a work record
reflecting increasing levels of responsibility and proven accomplishments.
The successful appointee will have at a minimum a bachelors degree
and five years of experience in managing information technology. Preference
will be given to applicants with an advanced degree and with management
experience in higher education. Candidates must possess excellent skills
in personnel management, prioritization, planning, and organization. Particularly
essential are communication skillsoral, written, and interpersonalespecially
for explaining highly complex issues to non-technical audiences, and the
ability to work productively with faculty in the liberal arts.
