Well, I updated the website. Go me! Actually, I have a lot more work to do on it, so don't start chereographing a happy dance just yet. We have tryouts on Thursday, and we'll be choosing a couple more Belles to flesh out the group, who is getting older by the semester. And then I will no longer be updating this site. So let's hope we've got another web-savvy Belle coming our way.

So I'm kind of a bad person. I have updated this website on my computer repeatedly, but not on the Internet, because the College changed their way of setting up webpages (networking, not ftp) and I was scared of it. However, you will be pleased to note that this has now changed! The website has been updated, glory of all glories! And it really is exciting.

We have had some members leave us, unfortunately, because of time conflicts, etc. (tear) and some other members depart temporarily for other sunny shores (abroad), but we have SIX new freshman girls! (I think we are being overrun) For the first time ever we have a vocal percussionist, and this is thrilling news because Elizabeth does not have to make up noises in the back of her throat instead of singing her part anymore. Margaret is a great vocal percussionist; she is learning something new everytime we sing, and hopefully by her senior year will be able to hand pick another girl to train in the wonders of vocal percussionism as well.

We all think that we have come leaps and bounds since our first days hammering out chords in Compton's stuffy lounge with an off key piano as our only tuner. Every time we have tryouts, the girls we choose get better and better. Not only are they wonderful women, but they have gorgeous voices that often outshine our own. Which is, naturally, exactly what we want. Congratulations to all of our new Belles; you are our future. Oh, I'm going to cry.

Now, not everything goes to plan. While our group is fine-tuned and powerful and wonderful (blah blah blah), we have not had as much success with technology. The albums I promised again and again never came through, mainly because we have discovered that the equipment and sound quality when you do studio work at Wooster sucks. Sooo ... we're still looking for other options, but that's a backburner issue for the moment.

However, we do have a co-a cappella concert in the works with a mixed group from another east coast college. I'll keep everyone posted this time, I promise!

I've been updating the website. Yey! Ok, so maybe it's not that exciting, but it's a great way to whil away the long summer days ... or, as the case may be, nights. The website is plugging along. I've added photos of our Belles, an Alumni section *sniffle*, photos of what this past year's t-shirts looked like, concert photos, practice photos, goofy photos, scary photos, even those you-wouldn't-show-your-mother photos, and tweaked the website in places you wouldn't notice unless you were an anal webmaster like me. Enjoy! Or email me and complain if you didn't enjoy. I'll fix.

We are heading to the studio on Monday to create our first "Best of the C.O.W. Belles" cd! Stay tuned for when you can buy your very own copy!

Well, here we are, back on campus after spring break! Our t-shirts for this year are in, and look fantabulous (light blue with navy blue print), and I'll put a link up soon so that you too can check them out. Friday we will be singing for the Trustees of the College (gasp!) which we are all very excited for. Hope that everyone had a great break and are ready to get down to business!

Hello everyone! Spring break will be starting soon, so that everyone can take a vocal R&R, but otherwise, practices have been great. We decided not to do "Love Shack," and opted instead on the lovely song "Walk of Shame," mainly for Liz's sanity (It's hard to arrange).

I am a horrible person, because I haven't added the information for the last few people; however, I promise to work on getting that done by the time I leave for break on Friday. *Crossing fingers*

I've received several emails about dates for concerts, get togethers, etc. We haven't settled on any dates yet, however, we will most likely be deciding soon, so just keep checking back in early April for a finalized time. Thanks so much for your interest!

Congratulations to member Sarah Edwards for a fantastic job in the play "Twelfth Night." Reports have been coming in from everywhere about how wonderful and awesome that was. :)

Wow, so I almost just wrote 2001. I am very behind the times here. We have been working on "It's Raining Men" for the past week, and just warming up our voices in general. The website keeps getting updated, and I thank all of you for your ideas and comments and suggestions; as you can see, I have used quite a few of them. I do still need a few member photos, so I want everyone to DIG! And thank you to everyone who has given me photos, you are wonderful! :)

We do have some sad news. One of our members, Amanda Dahlin, has unfortunately too much on her plate and not enough time in the day to complete everything. She has informed us that her last practice was this past Friday. We wish her well in everything else that she is actively doing on campus, and hope that she can sing with us again one day. So until next year's tryouts, we are down to 15 members. Good luck, Amanda!

There's not much else to report, other then the fact that it is FREEZING cold outside! Stay tuned for more updates.

*sss...crackle* "Calling Mother Nature; We need MEN!" *crackle*

We have just returned from Winter Break, and practices will soon be starting up again. We have a slew of new music to work with, we are are refreshed from our breaks, and we are ready to rock 'n roll! And that's about it. Oh yeah! The website is finally up and running. See? :) It only took an entire year (of saying that I would get it done) to get it done. Heehee. Well, it's done! Email moi, your lovely webmaster (or webmistress) at score@wooster.edu or IM me at LizabethSC and let me know what you think! Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Stop dancing, Bessie, and send 'em back!
