"XML in E-Commerce Applications"
Janek Parekh 2000
Abstract
E-commerce is a ubiquitous phenomena that is rapidly growing in today's industrial and business world; almost any retail institution has a .com suffix. E-commerce transactions require the exchange of data through the internet and benefit from a standardized data representation. This study focuses on the Extensible Markup Language (XML) and the Extensible Style Language (XSL) as standards for web data representation. An XML Catalog application is created to simulate an online shoe store using the XML Document Object Model and JavaScript.
