Abstract
This thesis discusses the basics of programming Palm OS computers. It focuses on user interface design and control elements both of which are important factors for handheld application design. A Palm OS "Order Entry" application is created to demonstrate user interface and control element design issues and to demonstrate how data is stored into a Lotus Notes Database.
