"Designing Web Pages Using ASP and ASP.NET: Implementing a Course Web Site in ASP.NET for use by Students and Professors"

Brad Davis 2002

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine two dynamic Internet development strategies and their ability to interact with relational databases. A technology developed in the 1990's, ASP, is examined initially and then the study concentrates on ASP.NET, an improved technology released in 2000. A dynamic course web site is developed using the ASP.NET technology. The course web site provides much of the functionality expected, such as a password protected login forboth students and faculty, student information updates, and student access to grades.
