Abstract
This thesis examines the basic concepts of Bluetooth, compares it with similar wireless technologies and thoroughly investigates the core units of its protocol stack. The study also investigates Bluetooth security issues and analyzes the features it offers to counter them. Finally, the step-by-step development of software application examples is presented, culminating in a wireless chat room. User and technical documentations are provided for the software.
