The Cultural Events Committee of The College of Wooster provides funds for speakers, performing groups, and other events which enhance the cultural life of the College. The Committee takes into account a proposal's breadth of appeal and particularly welcomes events that are related in some way to the College's academic program and that are open to the general College audience. The Committee attempts to distribute funds across programs and disciplines; it also welcomes consideration of events cutting across disciplinary lines. Note that the Committee has finite funding and hence it may be the case that not all requests can be funded. Please be as thorough and articulate as possible when completing each of the categories/questions below. Please supply the Committee Chair with the following information well in advance of the event. Whenever possible, submit requests early enough for inclusion in the College’s Calendar of Events.

The Cultural Events Committee does not itself undertake to publicize the events for which it provides funding. Briefly describe the means by which you intend to publicize the event(s), such as the Wooster Daily Record, the College Voice, contact with certain community groups, posters on campus, announcements on campus radio station WCWS, etc. Be sure that you alert the Office of Public Information about the event.
