The
courses in the Teacher Education program are designed to offer students
diverse perspectives on the teaching profession. Faculty employ a variety
of teaching methods that encourage students to explore the many dimensions
of teaching. Specific program requirements are outlined in the publication,
Teacher Education at Wooster: A Supplement to the Catalog, available from
the Department of Education. Wooster's program is designed so that, with
careful planning, students may earn certification within their four-year
undergraduate experience. Students who are candidates for teaching certification
should consult with a faculty member in the Department of Education, along
with their academic adviser, as early as possible in their college career
and on a regular basis thereafter.
