Program Overview
Wooster’s men’s soccer program enjoys an impressive tradition, highlighted by six appearances in the NCAA Div. III Tournament, even advancing to the 1977 “Final Four,” and nine conference championships – six coming as a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference and three with the current North Coast Athletic Conference as recently as 2003 and 2004. The NCAC is well known for being one of the premiere men’s soccer leagues in Div. III.
Throughout the majority of the 2000s, the Fighting Scots have been among the top teams within the Great Lakes Region as they’ve put together six double-digit win totals over nine seasons and an overall winning percentage of .668 (93-42-17).
Wooster plays its home matches at Carl Dale Memorial Field, which features a plush, natural grass surface and plenty of seating, both bleachers and on small hillsides. Also, new in 2009, the team will have the option to practice on a synthetic alternative to grass (Sprinturf) that was installed at the football stadium.
