The Longbrake Student Wellness Center is open and staffed 24 hours a day to provide prevention, education, and healing services to Wooster students.

Services include treatment for illness, minor surgical procedures, medical and psychological consultation, counseling services, health education, and holistic health care programs.

Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on the first and third Thursday of each month, when the hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A registered nurse is on duty 24 hours a day.

Before 8 a.m. and after 4 p.m. on weekdays, and throughout the weekend, students may use their C.O.W. card to enter the Wellness Center's front door.

Facilities

Located on the northeast side of campus, steps away from several of the College's largest residence halls, the Longbrake Student Wellness Center houses five out-patient examination rooms, four individual counseling offices, a treatment room, laboratory, pharmacy, two-bed observation ward, and six overnight student rooms.

H1N1 News

H1N1 Quick Tips

We are on the Ohio Department of Health's list to receive 800 doses of H1N1 vaccine when available.  We will receive 500 injections and 300 intranasal doses of live vaccine.  Follow WHN for updated information.

Who is to receive the H1N1 vaccine in shot form?

  1. Pregnant women
  2. Children 6 months through 24 years of age
  3. Care givers of infants less than 6 months of age
  4. Health care workers
  5. People 25-64 years of age who have chronic health conditions

If you are eligible for the live vaccine (intranasal), you must take the live vaccine at this time or wait until a later date when the killed vaccine shot is not in limited supply.

Upcoming Events: Flu Shots

We will be receiving 180 doses of seasonal flu vaccine sometime in November.  Watch WHN for flu clinic dates.
