Welcome
The Environmental Task Force was created to educate and offer suggestions to the campus community about the environmental aspects of the College's program and its physical plant. In the past, ETF has overseen the recycling program and has organized an annual Earth Day Fair.
The issues the ETF will address for the current year and in the future include:
* Developing an Environmental Studies program
* Local food
* Recycling
* Reducing energy consumption
* Sustainability in buildings
The membership of the ETF is composed of students,
faculty, staff, and trustees.
NEW! Draft Sustainability Statement
Members of the ETF have composed a draft statement reflecting the "Institutional Commitment to Environmentally Sound Choices" at The College of Wooster. In the interest of promoting open communication among the campus community, we invite you to review this document and to email your comments on it to Dr. Marilyn Loveless at mloveless@wooster.edu by Friday, April 4, 2008. Please include the phrase "ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT" in the subject line of your email. Line numbers have been added for easy reference.
Since this is only a draft statement, we ask that you not copy or cite this statement for any use. This statement will be revised and finalized, then sent to President Cornwell for his review in mid-April, and this draft version is not official. Thank you for your consideration!
