Statement of Purpose
The purpose of The College of Wooster Staff Committee is to provide an informal and collegial “communication forum” that provides candid discussion regarding administrative and support staff concerns, successes, and suggestions. The forum serves as an informative link in conveying the rationale behind College policies and decision-making.
CWSC Representatives are elected for a three-year term, September through August. In conjunction with the President of the College, the CWSC will appoint a chairperson to serve for a one-year term. The appointed chairperson may or may not be an elected CWSC member. The CWSC vice-chairperson and secretary are elected by the Committee each September to serve for one year.
Some notable accomplishments of the CWSC include initiating Personal Time; participating in evaluations of various health care options; participating in the establishment of an Employee Assistance Program; interviewing candidates for certain administrative positions, and hosting several socials and employee get-togethers throughout each year.
