Welcome Committee

The Welcome Committee will organize and staff events designed to allow new families to feel part of the Wooster community.

As a Welcome Committee volunteer you can:

Support Admitted Student Receptions

Host, coordinate, attend and/or provide financial support for a reception for admitted students in your area. We host receptions across the country, primarily in the summer months before the semester starts.

Welcome new parents and students on campus

During New Student Orientation parents will be at welcome tables in each of the residence halls and in Lowry answering questions and making connections with new parents. During Family Weekend, parents will be available to be at the registration table answering questions and offering advice.

Parents making admissions contacts or hosting welcome events will be matched with parents from similar interests and geographic locations if possible. Information and materials needed to be successful will be supplied by the appropriate College official.
