Geology
Fieldwork in Israel, June 2005
Mark A. Wilson (Wooster Faculty) & Jeffrey C. Bowen
(Wooster Senior)
In June, 2005, we had an extraordinary
field trip to Israel as part of Mark Wilson's faculty research and Jeff
Bowen's Senior Independent Study at The College of Wooster. The trip was
supported by the Henry
J. Copeland Fund for Independent Study and the Sherm Wengerd Endowment
for Geological Field Research. The adventure also would not have been
possible without the generous assistance of the Geological
Survey of Israel, especially from our friends Dr. Amihai Sneh and
Dr.
Yoav Avni, and the Ramon
Science Center (Jacob Blaustein Institute for Desert Research, Ben-Gurion
University of the Negev) in Mitzpe Ramon, Israel.
This webpage will grow as
