Plant/Tree of the Month
April 2002

Daffodil/Hyacinths/Magnolias

Daffodil Daffodil

Now we see the results of the October 6, 2001, Scots In Service day at the Beall Ave. School, which is the new site of the Family Learning and Development Center. The hundreds of Daffodil bulbs planted last fall are now in their full glory.

Hyacinths

Hyacinths planted last fall at the same site are now showing beautiful color and intense fragrance to be enjoyed by anyone passing by.

Magnolia Rhododendrons

The Star Magnolia seen above left graces Luce Hall on campus. Its fragrant blooms appear in April to welcome spring. The P.J.M. Rhododendrons seen above right are on the North side of Scheide Music Center. Their profuse lavender blooms greet visitors at the main entrance and last for up to two weeks each spring.
