Gary Beckler
Groundskeeper

I started working at the College of Wooster in March 1989. I have worked on the Campus Grounds, Golf Course and helping out on the Athletic Fields. I am currently licensed by the State of Ohio for pesticide applications. My memberships include: PGMS and OTF. In my free time I enjoy waterfowl and deer hunting. My family and I enjoy going to sprint car races all around Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Bill Carlton

I started at the College of Wooster on May 7, 1979 in the Security Department. In 1988, I transferred to the Grounds Department working on the Golf Course were I am an OTF member. In my free time I was a part-time patrolman with the Wooster City Police Dept. from 1976-1988. Also, I was a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Wooster Township Fire Dept. from 1985-2001 holding the rank of lieutenant. |

Teri Gray

I have worked for the College of Wooster for 17 years. The first twelve years I worked in foodservice, working summers on the grounds crew. Then in 2003 transferred to the Grounds Dept. Also I am an OTF member. I enjoy taken care of my animals and gardening around my home.

Dave Horn

I started my career at the College of Wooster golf course working part-time in the fall of 1971. I was a senior in the Horticulture program at the Wayne County Career Center. I began my full-time employment in March of 1973. Also, I am an OTF member.

Mitch Lietzke

My past employment was in an independent light truck and passenger car repair shop. Where I was employed for 9 years. I currently have my ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Master Technician Certification and an OTF member. I was hired in April 2007 as the Grounds Mechanic at the College of Wooster.

Beau Mastrine

Has been employed at the College since 1998. Earning associate degrees in 1997 from the Ohio State University / ATI in Landscape Contracting and Construction and Turfgrass Management. Prior to working at the College…in 1996 worked in Atlanta, GA for Gibbs Landscape Company an award winning landscape company in metro Atlanta. Then in 1997 worked for the Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field on the grounds crew. In 2004 was promoted to Director of Campus Grounds. I am responsible for the daily operation of the department that includes managing and making purchases for the campus grounds and golf course. Also manages capital projects which would include sidewalk and parking lot construction, landscape design and landscape installation. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and landscaping around my own property. Currently I am the Treasurer and Secretary for the Northeast Ohio Branch of PGMS, OTF and PGMS member. I also have my pesticide licenses from the State of Ohio. |

Mark Niemczyk

I started working at the College of Wooster in April 1990. I enjoy begin part of a team of groundskeepers that work to maintain and improve the beauty, function of the outdoor environment. My area of interest is the care, preservation and promotion of our urban forest. I am a Wooster High School graduate and have two AAS degrees from the Ohio State University / ATI. I enjoy spending time with my family and spending time outdoors. Which includes trout and salmon fishing?

Brian Orosz

I enjoy working outdoors as a groundskeeper for the College of Wooster for seven years. Recently I received my license for pesticide application. I am originally from Orrville and graduated from OHS in 1996. I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three sons. One of my favorite pastimes is watching the Cleveland Indians and playing baseball with my children.

I have worked for the College of Wooster since 1984, starting out in Food Service then transferring to the Grounds Dept. When not at work I like to play golf with my husband, go mushroom hunting in the spring. I enjoy planting flowers and for a few years owned my own greenhouse. In the past my husband and I were members of the Saltcreek Bowhunters Club. Currently we have purchased a 108 year old home that we are remodeling and going to flip.

Matt Shultzman

I am a graduate from Waynedale High School in 2003 and the Ohio State University / ATI in 2006 with an AAS degree in Landscape Contracting and Construction. I have been employed by the College since April 2006. When not working, I like to spend time studying and creating art and music, traveling with friends and going to concerts. I have played lead guitar in bands since 2002. First with Roadskull and currently with the Texture.

Carl Wetz

I have lived in Wooster most of my life. In 2000, I retired from The Timken Company following 32 years of service. In March 2006 I became a part-time employee on the Grounds Crew at the College of Wooster. In 2007 my position was change to a full-time position.
