News & EventsCold Care CenterOur Cold Self-Care Center is a modular progressive unit designed to help students evaluate their own cold symptoms, and determine if their symptoms can be aided by over-the-counter (OTC) medications, or if they need further evaluation by a nurse. Some OTC medications as well as alternative options are available in the Cold Care Center for the students to take with them, as well as information about colds, flu, colds vs flu symptoms, Wellness Tips, and other pertinent health education materials. The Cold Care Center is located to the left of the reception desk in the main lobby of the Longbrake Student Wellness Center. Students need to check-in at the desk, as usual, before going to the Cold Care Center, and then return their completed blue Cold Care Center Symptom Checklist Forms to the reception desk before they leave. Any student who has "cold symptoms" is encouraged to come to the Student Wellness Center and visit the Cold Care Center. The Cold Care Center is open 24/7, no appointment is necessary, and there is no charge to use this service. However, there is a Donation Box for any student who wishes to contribute to this service.
