Pozefsky is the author of The Nihilist Imagination (2003), an examination of the close relationship between Russian radicals and literature in the late nineteenth century. He is currently studying representations of Stalin and stalinism in contemporary Russian cinema. His courses include Russia to 1900, Russia Since 1900, The Fall of the Soviet Union and the Rise of the New Russia, Stalin's Russia: History and Film, Western Civilization Since 1600, and An Intellectual History of Modern Europe.

He joined the faculty in 1964 and is an expert in Tudor-Stuart England,
early modern Europe, and modern Britain. Schilling directs Woosters
Advanced Placement Institute for secondary school teachers as well
as the Wooster-Youngstown Early Intervention Program for high school
students at Wooster each summer. |

Daniel Calhoun came to the College in 1956. Calhoun retired from
teaching in 1994, but he still audits the occasional class at the
College. He is also an Emeritus Professor of Phi Beta Kappa, the
national academic honors society. His publications include The United Front: The TUC and the Russians, 1923-1928 (Cambridge
University Press, 1976) and Hungary and Suez, 1956: An Exploration of Who Makes History (University Press of America, 1991).

Henry Copeland taught French and European history in the History
Department for twelve years before taking up the Presidency of the
College in 1977. He served as President until 1995, leading the
College through a period of remarkable change and growth. |

James Hodges

Jim Hodges taught courses in American history from his arrival at
the College in 1962. He is the author of New Deal Labor Policy
(1986, University of Tennessee Press) as well as articles on the
American presidency, Southern politics, and labor history. He is
currently writing a history of the College of Wooster. |
