Name: The name of our organization will be Inter-Greek Council.
Purpose: The purpose of Inter-Greek Council is to provide a representative body consisting of all Clubs and Sections. The council should be an environment where Clubs and Sections can meet as a group and solve problems within the community, provide support to groups in need, and celebrate the organization and its achievements through planning social events throughout the year. Inter-Greek Council exists with the intention of promoting a system through which the Clubs and Sections can work together to strengthen the Greek Community. In an effort to accomplish our goals we will abide by The Code of Social Responsibility as stated in the Scot's Key.
Membership: The members of the council consist of an Executive Board, the president of each Club and Section, and one other elected representative from each individual Club and Section. Due to the responsibilities of the Executive Board Members, their participation on Inter-Greek Council does not contribute to the Club and Section representation. Membership shall be open to any member of a Club and Section, regardless of age, sex, race, creed, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, religion, political affiliation, economic status, or ability to pay dues, providing the individual expresses a genuine interest in the purpose and goals of Inter-Greek Council.
Dues: Inter-Greek Council membership dues will be collected at the start of each semester and will be based on the needs of the organization for the semester. Failure to pay dues will result in the inability to participate in Inter-Greek Council activities until the time that the dues are paid. If an organization is unable to pay the appropriate dues by the requested deadline, then a payment play can be arranged between the organization and the treasurer. If the organization is financially unable to pay the dues, then the cabinet can vote to waive the dues for that group.
