The Nature of Inter-Greek Council

 

The Inter-Greek Council shall be a representative body of all Clubs and Sections and shall exist for the purpose of promoting a system through which the Clubs and Sections can work together. Further, the IGC shall promote, sponsor, and participate in social and service activities between Clubs and Sections, the campus and community.

Inter-Greek Council Responsibilities include:

1. The Inter-Greek Council shall recommend new member education procedures, dates, and regulations, subject by approval by the Committee on Social Organizations (CSO).

2.  The Inter-Greek Council shall implement this constitution and by-laws. The Inter-Greek Council shall execute the policies, procedures, and regulations which it  has established.

3.  The Inter-Greek Council has the power to sponsor and coordinate social and service activities.

4.  The Co-Presidents of the Inter-Greek Council will serve as mediators for those Clubs and Sections which act in a manner which is detrimental to other Clubs and Sections and the Greek community as a whole.

 

The Nature of Clubs and Sections

1. A Club/Section shall be a group of women/men organized to promote sisterhood/brotherhood. These Clubs and Sections shall serve the campus and the surrounding community through service projects, sponsoring social functions, and informal gatherings, participation in athletics and other such activities.

2. A Club/Section is a member of Inter-Greek Council and shall be represented by the group's president and another elected representative.
