Off-Campus Study inBiochemistry & Molecular BiologyWHY Off-Campus Study in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is valuable because it can help you acquire the breadth of vision that is at the basis of a liberal arts education. If you take courses in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology while off campus, you may also gain a broader perspective on the field itself. HOW If you are a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major who would like to study off campus, you should be aware that you will need to plan well ahead of time. Begin by talking to your advisor or a professor in the department about your plans. You should also make an appointment with the Director of Off-Campus Study in the International Programs Office (107 Babcock; x2951) to discuss the process. WHEN The only semester that is reasonable for a BMB major to study off campus is fall of the junior year, although the best option is summer study. WHAT BMB majors should take at least one science course while off campus. WHERE The most important factor in choosing a program for a BMB major is that you may take at least one science course.
